I was informed by a friend who works for the USPS that in the future I should send the rebate form via Certified Mail with Return Receipt requested. Well, it is going to be a VERY VERY LONG TIME before I buy anything from Remington again. That would've come out to $100 rebate and would've come out to $4.97 per Box of 25. But a $10 rebate for each of 10 boxes that cost me $14.97 each was quite enticing. I normally don't pay much attention to rebates because I know that most are a SCAM. THAT is the same kind of BS I got from them and exactly how it went for me when I called. I was then told I had to send the originals. I mailed them the copy of the form and upc I made before I mailed them. I'm just going by what has been posted here. I even get my computer accessory rebates which are some of the worst companies to not send rebates back. How many people actually sent in and received their rebate? I am betting less than 1% didn't get a rebate because of their fault. While incredibly slow and completely lacking in communication on this one, they did come through for me. I found a $50 check from Remington sitting in a pile of mail about 3 days after my last post. I did get a $75 check for the Versa Max that I bought last year though. They claim they never received that mailing. And apparently I was expecting too much by expecting them to contact me to relay that they required additional proof of purchase from me.Īnyway, I shipped all new paperwork and rebate info including other UPC's. And apparently it was too difficult for them to include this information on the rebate details on their website.

Apparently the one bar code and an invoice was not proof enough. After a few months, I called and was told I also needed to also send in the barcodes for each individual box that was inside the primary box. They received it and sat on it without any communication. I sent in my barcode from a box of 100 shells. I have bought a lot of Remington ammo in the past, but NO MORE Remington ammo and no more Remington firearms for me I am done! The way I was treated on the phone is NO WAY to treat a long-time customer. I asked if there was any one I could contact to resolve the issue and she told me that there was no way I could prove that I had mailed the form on time, so I would NOT be getting the $100 rebate and that was FINAL! I told her that was impossible because I personally took it to the post office and mailed the form along with all the required items, the same day I received the ammo and that was TWO WEEKS BEFORE the postmark deadline. She then put me on hold for a minute or so and when she came back she said that my rebate was DENIED because it was postmarked AFTER the deadline. I told her that all ten bar codes were in fact taped to the rebate form.

I gave her all the information she requested and she at first said that I had NOT included the UPC bar-codes as instructed. The lady that answered the phone was VERY RUDE. When the stated date came and went, I called the number as directed. When I accessed the URL and entered the ID CODE, it stated that if I didn't receive the rebate by a date specified in the pop-up window I should call a phone number listed in the pop-up window.

The email contained a CODE and a URL to check the status of my rebate. One week later, I received an email from Remington stating that I should access a specific URL to check on the status of my rebate. The rebate stated that they would rebate $10 per box up to 10 boxes, for a maximum of $100 rebate.Īs soon as I received the shipment, I printed and filled out the Remington official form, cut out and included the (10) UPC bar codes from each box as instructed, as well as included the original paid receipt I received with the ammo and mailed them to their official rebate address.Īfter 4-week of not getting a response, I sent another letter, this time I included a photo copy of the original form, a copy of the receipt and a photo copy of the UPC bar codes, since I no longer had the original bar codes. I purchased (10) 25-round boxes of Remington. I was denied a $100 rebate from Remington.
